Congrats on accomplishing your goals and our team enjoyed taking care of you!

In November of 2023 I consulted with Dr. Kaplan about a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder, he suggested it needed surgery to repair. I am the Director of Tennis at The Florida Yacht Club, still playing competitive tennis, and a very avid golfer. Having a strong and healthy shoulder is not only a very important part for my lifestyle but it is also my livelihood. After a long recovery from an extensive shoulder surgery with another local surgeon from an accident that I had in 2015, I was very hesitant and afraid to go through it again. Dr. Kaplan gave me the confidence that if I wanted some more competitive years with my sports that surgery was the only real option. He was also very optimistic that I would have great results.

I had a trip planned in June of 2024 to Scotland to play golf with my son. My short-term goal was to have my shoulder strong enough to play pain free. Dr. Kaplan told me that if I am committed to my rehab, there is no reason why I could not accomplish this goal.

I played my first full round of golf a week before my trip and played 3 rounds while in Scotland. Although my shoulder was not quite 100% with strength and flexibility, I played as well as can be expected after 7 months off and without pain!

I can't thank Dr. Kaplan, his team, the JOI therapists, particularly Drew, for putting me back together and doing what I love!
